Permanent makeup brow healing takes 4–6 weeks, with initial scabbing/flaking in the first 7–14 days. Brows will appear much darker and bolder for the first few days before fading and settling into a softer color. Essential care includes keeping them dry, avoiding makeup, sunlight, and heavy sweating for 10-14 days, and absolutely no picking or scratching.
Typical Healing Timeline
Days 1–2: Brows appear very dark, intense, and thick. Potential for mild swelling or redness.
Days 3–5: Scabbing or flaking begins. The skin may feel itchy.
Days 6–10: Scabs naturally fall off, which can lead to a patchy appearance.
Days 10–14: Flaking stops. Brows may appear too light or uneven, but the color will re-emerge later.
Weeks 4–6: Final color and shape stabilize, at which point a touch-up session is done.

Essential Aftercare Rules
Keep it dry: Avoid getting the brows wet for 7–10 days, including in the shower.
No picking: Do not pick, rub, or scratch scabs, as this will result in pigment loss.
Avoid heavy sweat: Avoid intense exercise, swimming, saunas, and hot tubs for at least 10–14 days.
No makeup: Do not apply conventional makeup, cleansers, or lotions to the brow area for at least 10-14 days.
Sun Protection: Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, and sun exposure for 4 weeks.
Ointment: Apply a thin layer of the recommended healing ointment (e.g., Bepanthen) with a cotton bud as directed by the artist.
Sleeping: Sleep on a clean pillowcase, ideally on your back to avoid rubbing your brows, for the first few nights.
Advanced PMU +5
Note: You may experience temporary patchiness or the appearance of, "gone" hair strokes around week 3, which is normal as the skin heals.

Permanent makeup lip healing takes about 5-10 days, with full color maturity at 6 weeks. Lips will appear very bright and swollen for 1-2 days, followed by dryness, chapping, and peeling around days 3-5. The color will fade by up to 50% during the healing process, making it look lighter or uneven (ghosting) before settling into its final shade.
Lip Healing Timeline
- Day 1 (Bright & Swollen): Lips appear as dark, bold lipstick with swelling and tenderness.
- Days 2-3 (Tightness & Drying): Swelling subsides, but lips feel dry, hard, and begin to tighten.
- Days 4-7 (Peeling): The skin begins to scab and peel. It is crucial not to pick at the skin, as this can cause uneven, patchy results.
- Days 7-14 (Ghosting/Fading): After peeling, the color may seem to disappear (the "ghosting" phase) or look too soft. This is normal, as the skin is thick and healing.
- Weeks 4-6 (Final Color): The color resurfaces, softens, and settles into the final shade.
Key Aftercare Tips
- Keep it clean: Clean the lips 2-3 times daily with a damp cotton pad, but do not soak them in water.
- Moisturize: Apply the provided healing balm (e.g., Aquaphor) constantly to prevent them from drying out.
- Avoid Irritants: Avoid spicy and salty foods for at least 3 days, and use a straw for drinking.
- Protect: Do not pick or scrub your lips, and avoid lipstick, makeup, smoking, and kissing for about 7 days.
- Avoid Excess Moisture: Avoid gyms, saunas, and hot tubs for up to 2 weeks.
- Cold Sores: If you have a history of cold sores, expect to use anti-herpes medication, as the procedure can trigger outbreaks.
